Enfield Town Library

66 Church Street, EN2 6AX, London, England

Original 1912 Carnegie Library has been refurbished after demolition of later additions. New extension of glass, concrete and stone respects the mass and scale of the existing building and its prominence on the streetscape. Old and new are linked with a 2-storey top-lit atrium. Boreholes provide a large portion of the heating and cooling requirements. BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'. London Planning Award Winner 2010.
